Ferry trip to Picton

When I just started to get a bit lazy in my very comfortable new home I continued my journey.

I took the train from Masterton to Wellington from where I travelled with the „Interislander“ – ferry to Picton. It was a very beatiful and scenic ferry ride through the cook strait. It was very warm and extremely windy.

After about three and a half hours I finally arrived in Picton, also called  „Gateway to the south“.

I only stayed there for a night because I coulnd’t get a bus anymore, which wasn’t to bad. I met some nice people and enjoyed some free chocolate pudding. I also started to read a new book called Fall of Giants (by Ken Follet).
